Why We Believe in the Masterpiece in You

“I challenge you to make your life a masterpiece. I challenge you to join the ranks of those people who live what they teach, who walk their talk.” -Tony Robbins

Have you ever heard of the song “Masterpiece” from the 80’s group Atlantic Starr? If you haven’t, the chorus repeats this line…

I’ve found a masterpiece in you, a work of art, it’s true. And I treasure you my love”

– Atlantic Starr, Masterpiece

In a way, those lines affirm one of the many reasons why we connect people to personal development. Because in one way or another, we are all masterpieces.

We bring programs, training, and events that build people in business, relationships, and other growth areas. But as we grow together as a community, we see people as enduring examples of immense value and worth.

This made us realize that our duty isn’t just to build people. Our responsibility is to help people refine their lives as treasures that will provide the positive impact they are meant to give.

That’s why in this article, we want to talk about you being the masterpiece you are meant to be.

First of all, we want to know what makes a masterpiece.

We’ve realized that for this to happen, it should have…

Beauty

Yes, we all have our ideas on what makes things beautiful. And yes, most would subscribe to the idea of beauty defined through the senses.

But we believe that it is more than that. We believe that even the seemingly ugly or unpleasant experiences bring out the good in someone. And that creates a nuanced layer of beauty.

Value

Masterpieces have value. And that value is both internal and external. It can be obvious or invisible.

And when something has value, it has worth that makes it needed, special, and useful in a given situation. This makes a masterpiece worthwhile to have.

Impact

And beyond beauty that stimulates the senses and value that shows immense worth, masterpieces also create impact. This can change ideas, lives, and generations.

A masterpiece creates an impact when people are aware of it. Then people think about it. Afterward, they discuss what it is and what it means. Eventually, it affects people in ways that may or may not be obvious.

Sure, when we think about this, we believe that these are art pieces. But, we think that these are just artificial creations hanging from a gallery, played in an opera hall, or just stuck in a museum display.

But the way we see it, we already are masterpieces. And because of this…

We deserve to develop ourselves into the best we can be.

When we grow in every area of our life, we increase the level of beauty, value, and impact that we show. And when this happens, we show ourselves to be the best we can be. But, along with that, it also makes us realize that …

We deserve to have the best life and love in our lives.

Masterpieces are taken care of. They don’t just hang on walls and displays. They are given the best environment to stay safe to last long, so they are seen by many. And that means that…

We are meant to shine.

No matter the circumstance, each of us has a light within us that deserves to be seen. This light shows our true beauty, immense value, and life-changing impact that the world can appreciate.

And that means we don’t have to limit ourselves.

As Marianne Willamson said,

“…Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.”

We are meant to inspire others to bring out the masterpiece in their lives. We show our light so that they can also show theirs. Marianne Williamson says this too…

“…And as we let our light shine, we unconsciously permit other people to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

But how do we do this?

First, we create value through our business and work, ideas and thoughts, and actions. These will not only help us, but it also inspires others to help themselves.

Next, we create life-changing and meaningful connections with people. We connect with them not simply for our benefit. We become part of communities and networks so we can serve and give value.

Finally, we create a legacy of influence from living a life of love, value, and understanding. And in doing so, we permit others to live their lives by being their best.

We know that as a team, we experience the roller coaster of situations. We celebrate our highs and higher highs. And we feel and learn from the lows that life gives us.

But more than that, it will always be our commitment to bring out the masterpiece in you.
